Let's Get Personal

Don't you love learning more about the blogger behind the blog? I know I do!

I've been seeing some features and posts around lately from other bloggers that are a little more personal, not so much book related. Inspired by those personal posts, I came up with this feature. It will take place every Wednesday and it will be about me; Cathy, the girl behind The Crazy Bookworm!

Of course, if there are any burning questions you are dying to know about me, feel free to leave them in the comments of these posts, and I will do my best to respond in the next Let's Get Personal post.

I Lost 125 Pounds!

Yes, it's true. I lost 125 pounds within the last year and half. Something I always struggled with when I was a teenager and young adult was my weight. Towards the end of Junior high and High School, I started teetering on the chubby side, and of course, it just got worse. I could have been the spokes person for Yo-Yo dieting, but without boring you with the lengthy(2 years!) story of my up and down weight, I will skip to the time that I decided I was ready; It was a Christmas photo taken in December of 2010. Gah, this photo was HOR-RI-BLE! I still shudder when I look at it! However, it was this photo that flicked the switch, I know, it sounds cliche but it's true. I started exercising the very next day. I didn't give up every single thing I loved, but I did cut out some things. I joined the gym and watched my portion control! Before I knew it, I went from this:

Weeell! That's my first personal story here for you! Although it is still somewhat embarrassing for me to talk about it, I am more than happy to share it with you! Blogging and books have always been a wonderful escape for me through anything. I want you guys to know more about me.
