Book Blogger Confessions

The name says it all, Confessions of a Book Blogger. We all have our vices, and when I come across other confession posts I always am left saying "I thought I was the only one!"

This will be a weekly(sporadic) post for me(feel free to do your own!) where I post my confessions, a rant, a what grinds my gears segment... anything! This space is going to be used to get it off my chest!

Want to join in? Feel free to comment below, post on my The Crazy Bookworm's Facebook or Tweet me @Cat_B87 or use the hashtag #bloggerconfessions

Getting that book for Christmas

Okay, I am 25 years old and I will proudly admit that you are never, I repeat NEVER to old to be excited about a Christmas gift. Especially if it's that one thing you've been dying to get, or in our case, read.

Every year, my mom will ask me to write her up a Christmas list so she can have ideas on what to get my Fiance and I for Christmas...You are never to old for Christmas lists, either! Of course, mine will always sport a couple of books. But there is always that one book that you desperately want. That instead of just grabbing it yourself, you are hopping that your mom is a mind reader and will know that that one thing is the one thing you want most out of all the things!

You casually gather around Christmas morning/day to exchange gifts and you start unwrapping yours, but can't help eyeing the book shaped present that still lies under the tree. FINALLY you get your hands on that last book-shaped gift. You slowly unwrap it, trying to look calm and cool but really jumping out of your skin. And then TADA!

It's the very book that you wanted!

You can't help yourself but jump up and do you happy dance!

omg i got asked to the holly ball im so excited!

  1. I don't remember ever getting a book for Christmas - we were a library going family. I've certainly made up for it since then though.
