She won’t rest until she’s sent every walking corpse back to its grave. Forever.

Had anyone told Alice Bell that her entire life would change course between one heartbeat and the next, she would have laughed. From blissful to tragic, innocent to ruined? Please. But that’s all it took. One heartbeat. A blink, a breath, a second, and everything she knew and loved was gone.

Her father was right. The monsters are real….

To avenge her family, Ali must learn to fight the undead. To survive, she must learn to trust the baddest of the bad boys, Cole Holland. But Cole has secrets of his own, and if Ali isn’t careful, those secrets might just prove to be more dangerous than the zombies….

A zombie twist on Alice in Wonderland..Yes, please! As if Alice in Wonderland couldn't get any better, Gena Showalter decided to give it a Zombie spin. So, what was the outcome: An Epic adventure!

I adored this novel. I loved every minute I spent reading it. It had heart, action, romance..You named it, it had it! Alice's character was so charming! I loved her sense of humour and her personality. She had me laughing at loud in so many moments. And Cole...sheesh, totally swoon-worthy! The author definitely did a great job at making me drool over that guy! Showalter did a great job at creating these fantastic characters. The secondary character cast was just as important as the main characters. They all offered something unique to this great story!

Don't go into this book expecting Alice in Wonderland with Zombies, because if so, you won't get what your looking for. Instead, what the author did(which was genius in my opinion!) was take some of the classic, tell-tale features of Alice in Wonderland and incorporate them in her own captivating story.

Alice in Zombieland kicks so much AS..er, butt! The author packed a whole lotta punch in this novel, while also tying in a great teenage romance and a powerful bond between family. This book has heart, soul and some epic butt-kicking!

Describe this book in three words: Charming, intense, unique

  2. I have thought about reading this book, but the title "zombie" always made me say no. Glad to know this book isn't what I thought it was. Now I have to read it! Thanks!

  3. Glad you enjoyed this book. It wasn't for me personally. I think I wanted it to be more Alice in Wonderland with zombies and was disappointed with how it turned out.
