Q: What is the longest book you've read? What are your favorite 600+ page reads?
A: War and Peace was the longest book I've ever read. I think my fave long page reads would have to be The Host by Stephanie Meyer and the Twlight Saga...It turns out I don't read many long books!
Q: Bookish Trends:
What are some bookish trends you are noticing in the literature world today? Is
there a particular trend you'd like to see more of?
A: I'm a manager of an independent bookstore in my city and like Ginger said, I am noticing a HUGE trend in Young Adult. And not just for young adults. People of all ages are coming in and checking out the old and new YA titles. Being a big fan of the YA genre, it's great to see!

I totally agree about YA books being hot right now - especially dystopians.

I totally agree with YA being huge right now. That was my answer as well. :) And I'm embarrassed to say I still have never read War and Peace. I really think I need to get on that! :-/

Hopping through. What did you think of War and Peace? I'd like to read it some day.

I haven't read the Host but I don't think I would... I wasn't a great fan of the other series. But you're right they're really big.
ReplyDeletehere is mine
If you consider the fact that the version of The Lord of The Rings I read was the one that’s one book with the 3 parts inside (1202 pages in the brazilian version), that would be the longest book I’ve ever read. But if you consider series to favorite 600+ page reads, hands down, Harry Potter. Not so much for the story, but for the feeling it brings me every time I think about it.
