In Fateful, eighteen-year-old maid Tess Davies is determined to escape the wealthy, overbearing family she works for. Once the ship they’re sailing on reaches the United States, she’ll strike out on her own. Then she meets Alec, a handsome first-class passenger who captivates her instantly. But Alec has secrets....

Soon Tess will learn just how dark Alec’s past truly is. The danger they face is no ordinary enemy: werewolves are real and they’re stalking him—and now Tess, too. Her growing love for Alec will put Tess in mortal peril, and fate will do the same before their journey on the Titanic is over.

Featuring the opulent backdrop of the Titanic, Fateful’s publication is poised to coincide with the 100-year anniversary of the ship’s doomed maiden voyage. It is sure to be a hit among Titanic buffs and fans of paranormal romance alike

Fateful was a book I was immediately drawn to as soon as I laid my eyes on the cover. Once I read the synopsis I thought "The Titanic AND werewolves...WIN" I couldn't wait to get my hands on a copy!

I have to admit that the first few chapters went by a little slow for me. Was I expecting it to jump in the story right away? No. I was just having some trouble adjusting to the pace that the author was creating. Once Tess stepped foot onto the giant ship known as the Titanic, my thoughts for the book instantly changed. Claudia Gray did a magnificent job at describing the settings surrounded Tess.

The visual aspect of the novel wasn't the only thing that changed for me. The entire book came to life! The characters, the world that the author penned. It was so enthralling that I couldn't put the book down. It followed me everywhere.

Claudia Gray crafted an enchanting novel with a heart-pounding storyline. Fateful may have started a little slow but boy, did it go out with a bang! A great read!
