Question of the Week: How has your reading habits changed since you were a teen? or If you are still a teen what new genres are you in love with currently?
I was an avid reader as a child. Leaving the library with an arm full of books every week. But once I hit high school, my love for reading kind of fizzled. I only read the books that were required for english and didn't really go beyond that. But then when all the hype for Twilight started surfacing I had to kill my curiousity and I picked it up, and those novels brought back my love for reading. So my habits have changed big time since being a teen because I read a lot more now!

It is so interesting to read everyone's responses to today's question. Really makes you think.
ReplyDeleteHere is my answer
My reading habits have changed a lot since I was a teen, in that I read a lot more. I'm just recently getting more into YA, and am loving it. I'm also really enjoying reading all of your recommendations! I just finished a book by a new author that I'm working with called (S)Mythology by Jeremy Tarr. It's a modern day fairy tale that is wry and whimsical, and tackles life...death...and the Underworld. The book is super cute and has illustrations by artist Katy Smail, which really bring the main character Sophie to life. I think your readers would really like it!
ReplyDeleteYou can read the first three chapters and check out the illustrations at www.smythology.co.uk or check out the book on Amazon here: http://amzn.to/Shardcover.
Enjoy and have a great weekend!

I think most of us stopped at one point or another in high school...there's just so much going on and so much required reading that there's rarely time for fun.
ReplyDeleteStopping by for the blog hop to follow you!
