Most of you know me as The Crazy Bookworm. But behind this alias, my name is Cathy and I was bullied growing up. I was bullied from Elementary school through Junior high. The authors that contributed to this book did a tremendous thing. They will show teens that they are not alone in this. They are speaking up for the people who couldn't speak up themselves. And they are giving voice to victims that lost their lives over bullying.

Dear Bully is set to release August 23rd, 2011. I would like to host a Dear Bully: Blogger Edition leading up to the release of this book. I would like to post a form where fellow bloggers and readers can tell us their story. You can chose to leave it anonymous if you like. No one has to know who you are. You can share your story to others and let people know that it DOES get better. I will be contributing to this form as well. I can't do this without all you wonderful bloggers and readers out there so your consideration for participation is deeply appreciated! I will post the form below, it is an open form, so please do not feel pressured to reveal your name, or your story. If you just want to post a message to people out there who are victims of bullying, that is much appreciated as well. My hopes for this project is to contribute to the act of eliminating bullying, and to promote the amazing concept that is this novel.

You do not need to be a blogger or a follower to contribute to this. If you have a story, a message, or just some kind words that you would like to share, then please feel free to share.

I want to thank everyone for taking the time to read this post and for considering participation.

Please feel free to re-post, retweet, spread the word. Let's put an end to bullying together!

"It doesn't matter what clothes you wear. What race your are, what religion you believe in or what person you love. You are you, please don't let anybody take that away from you. Don't let anyone threaten your self worth. You are not alone, and I promise you, it does get better...."- Cathy a.k.a The Crazy Bookworm.

  2. What a really good idea. It'd be nice to have others, as well as those authors help victims of bullying so you're awesome for coming up with this. On a sort of lighter note that book comes out on my birthday. lol

  3. I'm so glad people are stepping up and saying "Enough is enough". My son was bullied at school and the only response I got from the Principal was "This is Junior High after all". The counselor said, after I gave her my son's name, she couldn't do anything because she had no idea who my son was.

  7. I'm definitely going to purchase a copy for my home library and hopefully a copy for my library system. It's a book that should be in school and public libraries because it is needed. I really hope many people have the chance to read Dear Bully.
