Interview with a Blogger- iLive, iLaugh, iLove Books

This week please welcome Lucia from iLive, iLaugh, iLove Books

How long have you started blogging?

I started January 1. So that would be… a little more than two months. :) Yep, still a newbie.

What inspired you to start a book blog?

I love to read, and I just felt blogging would be a great way to connect with authors and fellow book lovers like me. None of my friends around me really like to read as much as I do.

Describe yourself in 3 words

Asian. Nerdy. Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious?

If you bring to life any book character in history, who would you chose?

Oh, wow. That is such a hard decision! I think I’ll go with Dumbledore. He’s one of my most favorite characters in Harry Potter, and I really don’t think he deserved to die. Plus, we both share a love of sweets.

If you had to pick 5 books to keep from your bookshelf, which 5 would you keep?

-Brisingr by Christopher Paolini

-The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis (I have all 7 in one volume, so technically that’s one book :D )

-City of Glass by Cassandra Clare

-The Iron Queen by Julie Kagawa

-The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan

Finish this sentence "I can't live without..."

CHOCOLATE!!! And books, of course.

If you had to recommend just one book to me, which would you recommend?

Mmmm… assuming you’ve read most of the popular YA books out there, how about one that was published a while ago? Loved the Maximum Ride books by James Patterson. The first is The Angel Experiment, I believe.

Where is your favourite/dream reading spot?

My current reading spot isn’t that great… (It’s all dark and hot under the covers. Yuck.) So I would love to read in a really, really, really fluffy chair next to a little lake on a nice, sunny day.

What other hobbies do you enjoy aside from reading and blogging?

I play the piano and flute and tennis. :) Plus I like to bake yumyums.

If you had to live your life as an animal, what would you be?

Lion. Who doesn’t want to be the Queen of the Jungle?

Have you ever read a book that changed your opinion about something?

Oh, definitely. I think all books do that. None are coming up in my mind right now, so I can’t really be specific.

Do you have any tips or advice for new book bloggers?

Make friends. Be who you are. Be honest. Make yourself stand out from others. I’m still kind of new, so I can’t really help… But be a nice person. :D

What are you reading now?

I’m reading Faustine by Imogen Rose for review. I just finished Fallen this morning, so I’m free to pick up another book. I think Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater is next.

Crazy Quiz

Name one guilty pleasure you have

Oh, I think you can guess. Haven’t I already mentioned chocolate?

Time travel: Future or past?

Ahhh another hard question! Um... I actually don’t really want to see what the future will be like, so past.

Favourite movie of all time?

I don’t have one. I love all movies, really. But I also don’t watch movies a lot, so I don’t have many choices.

A superpower you would like to have?

Telekinesis. All the pranks I could pull! *rubs hands gleefully*

Favourite book as a child

The Chronicles of Narnia, as previously mentioned. I first read those in second grade, so they’re basically my “children’s books.” But I also love Dr. Seuss. :D

Thank you so much, Lucia. It was a pleasure interviewing you!

  1. Enjoyed the interview. I think in the real world of telekinesis, power will not allow you to pull pranks, they return on you if you do. It can only be used wisely. However, I may be wrong.
