My Chapters-Indigo/blogger friend Liz, over at Midnight Bloom Reads brought my attention to this book that I am featuring as my WOW post.
An unbelievable tale of adventure and romance, in the face of the darkest of nightmares. Smallpox epidemics, floods, droughts - for sixteen-year-old Lucy, the end of the world came and went, taking 99% of the population with it. As the weather continues to rage out of control, and Sweepers clean the streets of plague victims, Lucy survives alone in the wilds of Central Park, hunting and foraging for food. But when she is rescued from a vicious pack of hunting dogs by a mysterious boy named Aidan, she reluctantly realizes she cannot continue on her own. She joins Aidan's band of survivors, yet a new danger awaits her: The Sweepers are looking for her, and they've laid a trap. There's something special about Lucy, and the Sweepers will stop at nothing to have her in their clutches.

Doesn't it sound great?!
Oooh, this book sounds really good!
ReplyDeleteI have a question: how do you do the box thing to put the synopsis in it? I really like the way it looks. :)

ReplyDeleteThat sounds pretty interesting. I couldn't get into Hunger Games, and this made me think of it. I am going to have to pick it up and see for myself! I also have a HG obsessed friend I passed your review on to.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds pretty scary.

Amazing pick this week, as usual! Ashes to Ashes sounds SO good. I didn't do any weekly memes because I'm moving. And I have an interesting story about my internet. You can go over to my page if you want to read it. Remember I told you I had terrible luck with those internet hookup people lol.
ReplyDeleteAwesome book. Adding it to my list!
Wow! That book sounds awesome! I love dystopian books, so I'll be sure to try this one out.
