I had a life anyone would kill for.

Then someone did.

The worst part of being dead is that there’s nothing left to live for. No more kisses. No more secrets. No more gossip. It’s enough to kill a girl all over again. But I’m about to get something no one else does—an encore performance, thanks to Emma, the long-lost twin sister I never even got to meet.

Now Emma’s desperate to know what happened to me. And the only way to figure it out is to be me—to slip into my old life and piece it all together. But can she laugh at inside jokes with my best friends? Convince my boyfriend she’s the girl he fell in love with? Pretend to be a happy, carefree daughter when she hugs my parents good night? And can she keep up the charade, even after she realizes my murderer is watching her every move?

Let the lying game begin.

Wow, I loved The Lying Game! Sara Shepard officially has me hooked. I haven't read the Pretty Little Liars series yet but they have just been bumped up on my 'TBR' pile. I didn't think I was going to like this book as much as I did. I am not a big fan of "Murder mystery" but Sara Shepard takes it to a completely different level. Imagine finding out you have a long lost twin, that is crazy enough. Then you go to meet that twin only to find out that she's been murdered and you've been set up to replace her so no one knows she's dead...Intense. The Lying Game is a page-turning, sit-on-the-edge-of-your-seat reading experience. I couldn't peel my eyes away from the pages. Sara Shepard created such a riveting character cast. Emma was a character I immediately bonded with. She's sweet and loving and just wants to fit in. The secondary characters were fantastic as well. I built some sort of relationship with all of them, even is some where a little of a love/hate relationship.

The Lying game was a thrilling ride. A great quick read that I would recommend to anyone that enjoys Young adult and "who done it" kind of books. I can't wait to get my hands on book #2 'Never Have I Ever' that is set to come out this year.

What I loved: The thrilling, fast-paced storyline. The characters and the pretty cover.
What I disliked: The ending...I love cliffhangers but they can drive me bonkers!!
