About the Book: Becky and her brother John were the best of friends. John was always there to pick her up when she was down...Until he passed away. Now Becky and her family have to learn how to cope with the loss and move on.
My Thoughts: This isn't your average 'Children's' book. It has a heavy subject matter but deals with it in a way that children can understand. It is a way to teach children about loss and grief. There are kids out there that have to deal with this in real life and this book could be a great help for them. The illustrations are simple and well done. 'Always my brother' is a good way to help children that are dealing with grief whether its with a family member, friend or even a pet. This is a touching story that deals with guilt, grief and moving on.
