A Tribute to a Great Author.
It is no secret to anyone that knows me that I am a hopeless romantic. I am one of those girls that love to watch sappy love movies and read sappy books. So it doesn't come to a surprise that I love Nicholas Sparks, I think he is a fantastic author and every one of his books have had me reaching for the kleenex. He knows how to tug on those heart strings. So to tribute some of his amazing talent, I thought I would post some famous quotes from his books. If you haven't read a Nicholas Sparks book yet, I urge you to go out and get one now!
"There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten, but I've loved another with all my heart and soul, and to me, this has always been enough."
- Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook)
"Love is like the wind, you can't see it but you can feel it"
— Nicholas Sparks (A Walk to Remember)
"Just when you think it can't get any worse, it can. And just when you think it can't get any better, it can."
— Nicholas Sparks (At First Sight)
"I finally understood what true love meant...love meant that you care for another person's happiness more than your own, no matter how painful the choices you face might be."
— Nicholas Sparks (Dear John)
"You're going to come across people in your life who will say all the right words at all the right times. But in the end, it's always their actions you should judge them by. It's actions, not words, that matter."
— Nicholas Sparks
"So it's not gonna be easy. It's going to be really hard; we're gonna have to work at this everyday, but I want to do that because I want you. I want all of you, forever, everyday. You and me... everyday."
— Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook)
"You are, and always have been, my dream."
— Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook)
"We fell in love, despite our differences, and once we did, something rare and beautiful was created. For me, love like that has only happened once, and that's why every minute we spent together has been seared in my memory. I'll never forget a single moment of it."
— Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook)
"I love you. I am who I am because of you. You are every reason, every hope, and every dream I've ever had, and no matter what happens to us in the future, everyday we are together is the greatest day of my life. I will always be yours. "
— Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook)
"When you're struggling with something, look at all the people around you and realize that every single person you see is struggling with something, and to them, it's just as hard as what you're going through."
— Nicholas Sparks (Dear John)
"You can't live your life for other people. You've got to do what's right for you, even if it hurts some people you love."
— Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook)
"Nothing that’s worthwhile is ever easy. Remember that."
— Nicholas Sparks (Message in a Bottle)
"You are my best friend as well as my lover, and I do not know which side of you I enjoy the most. I treasure each side, just as I have treasured our life together."
— Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook)
"It's possible to go on, no matter how impossible it seems, and that in time, the grief . . . lessens. It may not go away completely, but after a while it's not so overwhelming."
— Nicholas Sparks (Dear John)
"I love you more than there are stars in the sky and fish in the sea."
— Nicholas Sparks
"And when her lips met mine, I knew that I could live to be a hundred and visit every country in the world, but nothing would ever compare to that single moment when I first kissed the girl of my dreams and knew that my love would last forever."
— Nicholas Sparks (Dear John)
"You are the answer to every prayer I've offered. You are a song, a dream, a whisper, and I don't know how I could have lived without you for as long as I have."
— Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook)
"Passion is passion. It's the excitement between the tedious spaces, and it doesn't matter where it's directed...It can be coins or sports or politics or horses or music or faith...the saddest people I've ever met in life are the ones who don't care deeply about anything at all."
— Nicholas Sparks (Dear John)
"The greater the love, the greater the tragedy when it's over."
— Nicholas Sparks (Nights in Rodanthe)
"Without suffering, there'd be no compassion."
— Nicholas Sparks (A Walk to Remember)
"the reason it hurts so much to seperate is because our souls are connected"
— Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook)
"...love, I've come to understand is more than three words mumbled before bedtime."
— Nicholas Sparks
"Love is always patient and kind. It is never jealous. Loves is never boastful or conceited. It is never rude or selfish. It dose not take offense and is not resentful. Love take no pleasure in others people's sins, but delights in the truth. It is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope, and to endure whatever comes."
— Nicholas Sparks (A Walk to Remember)
"Sometimes you have to be a part from people you love, but that doesn't make you love them any less. Sometimes you love them more." "
— Nicholas Sparks (The Last Song)
"The best love is the kind that awakens the soul and makes us reach for more, that plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds. And that's what you've given me. That's what I'd hoped to give you forever"
— Nicholas Sparks
"Dreams are always crushing when they don't come true. But it's the simple dreams that are often the most painful because they seem so personal, so reasonable, so attainable. You're always close enough to touch, but never quite close enough to hold and it's enough to break your heart."
— Nicholas Sparks (Three Weeks with My Brother)
"And I learned what is obvious to a child. That life is simply a collection of little lives, each lived one day at a time. That each day should be spent finding beauty in flowers and poetry and talking to animals. That a day spent with dreaming and sunsets and refreshing breezes cannot be bettered. But most of all, I learned that life is about sitting on benches next to ancient creeks with my hand on her knee and sometimes, on good days, for falling in love."
— Nicholas Sparks
"I love you, not just for now, but for always, and I dream of the day that you’ll take me in your arms again."
— Nicholas Sparks (Dear John)
"In times of grief and sorrow I will hold you and rock you and take your grief and make it my own. When you cry I cry and when you hurt I hurt. And together we will try to hold back the floods to tears and despair and make it through the potholed street of life"
— Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook)
"We sit silently and watch the world around us. This has taken a lifetime to learn. It seems only the old are able to sit next to one another and not say anything and still feel content. The young, brash and impatient, must always break the silence. It is a waste, for silence is pure. Silence is holy. It draws people together because only those who are comfortable with each other can sit without speaking. This is the great paradox."
— Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook)
"You always have a choice. It's just that some people make the wrong one."
— Nicholas Sparks (The Guardian)
"And for the briefest instant, it almost feels like we're together again."
— Nicholas Sparks (Dear John)
"While I sleep, I dream of you, and when I wake, I long to hold you in my arms. If anything, our time apart has only made me more certain that I want to spend my nights by your side, and my days with your heart."
— Nicholas Sparks (Nights in Rodanthe)
"If conversation was the lyrics, laughter was the music, making time spent together a melody that could be replayed over and over without getting stale."
— Nicholas Sparks
"If you like her, if she makes you happy, and if you feel like you know her---then don't let her go."
— Nicholas Sparks (Message in a Bottle)
"Without you in my arms, I feel an emptiness in my soul. I find myself searching the crowds for your face - I know it's an impossibility, but I cannot help myself."
— Nicholas Sparks (Message in a Bottle)
"An ordinary beginning, something that would have been forgotten had it been anyone but her. But as he shook her hand and met those striking emerald eyes, he knew before he'd taken his next breath that she was the one he could spend the rest of his life looking for but never find again. She seemed that good, that perfect, while a summer wind blew through the trees."
— Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook)
"Duke: They didn’t agree on much. In fact, they didn’t agree on anything. They fought all the time and challenged each other ever day. But despite their differences, they had one important thing in common. They were crazy about each other."
— Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook)
"'I don't want to lose you.' His voice almost a whisper. Seeing his haggard expression, she took his hand and squeezed it, then reluctantly let it go. She could feel the tears again, and she fought them back. 'But you don't want to keep me, either, do you?' To that, he had no response."
— Nicholas Sparks (The Rescue)
"I held her close to me with my eyes closed, wonering if anything in my life had ever been this perfect and knowing at the same time that it hadn't. I was in love, and the feeling was even more wonderful than I ever imagined it could be."
— Nicholas Sparks (A Walk to Remember)
""You really love her don't you," she said.
"With all my heart."
She looked as sad as I'd ever seen her.
"What's your heart telling you to do?"
"I don't know."
"Maybe", she said gently,"You're trying to hard to hear it.""
— Nicholas Sparks
"My daddy said, that the first time you fall in love, it changes you forever and no matter how hard you try, that feeling just never goes away."
— Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook)
"Passion and satisfaction go hand in hand, and without them, any happiness is only temporary, because there’s nothing to make it last."
— Nicholas Sparks (Dear John)
"People want pretty much the same things: They wanted to be happy. Most young people seemed to think that those things lay somewhere in the future, while most older people believed they lay in the past."
— Nicholas Sparks (Nights in Rodanthe)
"It has to get ugly before it gets pretty!"
— Nicholas Sparks
"Yes... it wasn't over, it still isn't over."
— Nicholas Sparks
"And when her lips meet mine, I feel a strange tingling I have never felt before…and suddenly a miracle…and I discover a forgotten paradise, unchanged all this time, ageless like the stars. I feel the warmth of her body, and…I allow myself to slip away. I close my eyes and become a mighty ship in churning waters, strong and fearless, and she is my sails."
— Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook)

New Moon DVD Release
Well, It's finally come, The DVD release of New Moon. As I drove up to blockbuster 10 minutes before midnight, thinking i've given myself enough time to get a decent spot in line(When I wasn't even expecting that big of line) I was greatly mistaking. The Line up reached from the Check out Counter and wrapped around the whole store, Weaving between the Movie shelves. The Line was full of different people, Young kids, Teenagers, Women varying in ages between early 20's and late 50's, and a few men were mixed up in the crowd aswell, Some with wives and girlfriends, and some on their own. Once the line started moving an excitment grew in the crowd, and I have to admit that it was contagious, I found myself getting excited to recieve my pre-ordered copy. Once I got to the checkout, I was pleasantly surprised with 2 Free Posters, One of The Volturi(You could choose from 4)and an eclipse poster, and i also recieved a Black braclet that says "New Moon". My Inner 13 year old fan girl was super happy about that. The Next day, I parked myself on the couch and watched the movie, and all the special features, Which i througholy enjoyed. I loved New Moon more than twilight, and I think i owe a lot of that to the Budget and Director Change. I admit Catherine Hardwicke did great with the budget she had, But New Moon definetly delievered when it came to Special Effects, CGI, and Storyline. I can't wait for the theatrical release of Eclipse, See what David Slade added to this huge phenomanon. What did you think of The New Moon DVD and Special features, and Are you excited for Eclipse?

'Alice in Wonderland'
Alice in Wonderland was such a visually rich film. You get to feast your eyes on beautiful costumes and stunning special effects. The entire cast was fantastic, Johnny Depp as the Madhatter was incredible(and funny). The storyline has been getting a bad wrap but I, myself thought the storyline was great, and was just enough to balance the movie. You will be missing out if you skip this film, It is a fun watch and a wild ride.
Nights in Rodanthe Book Review

Nights in Rodanthe is about Adrienne Willis, a 45 year old, divorced mother of 3. Who lives in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Adrienne helps a friend out by watching her beach front Bed and Breakfast in Rodanthe NC. It’s off-season at the Inn So there is only one visitor expected… Paul Flanner, a 54 year old, world-renowned doctor. Who just sold his practice and is moving to Ecuador to assist his son at a clinic. Paul and Adrienne have an immediate attraction, but try to keep it at just that, but as a couple days go by, their chemistry and attraction for each other intensify. Secrets are revealed and hearts are opened up, their short time together leave them staring down a road that neither of them saw coming.
This was a fantastic book. It is a bittersweet love story and will have you reaching for the Kleenex (as most Sparks’ books do). It is a story of 2 people that have lead two completely different lives that eventually led them to each other saving one another. This book will have you believing in fate and true love. I’ve also seen this movie, and although the general story line was the same, a lot was changed, I would definitely recommend reading the book before you see the movie, although both experiences are great. They both have something different to offer. Nights in Rodanthe is not only just a love story, but is a story on self-growth, I would highly recommend this book to anybody.
